Turn the tide - sign the pledge today

Central government has been stripping away powers from local authorities for decades. It's time to turn the tide and bring back power to local communities.

We're asking councillors from all parties to sign our pledge below: 

I will work to turn the tide on the centralisation of power in Whitehall and return it to local communities. I will support:

• Greater independence for local Councils
• More financial autonomy for local Councils
• An independent inquiry into the role of local government and its relationship with Whitehall​
