Selling access to Ministers and senior politicians damages the public’s trust in politics.

And ordinary people are left unheard when businesses pour big money into shaping government decisions.

These cash for access schemes fly in the face of the Nolan Principles, which require politicians to avoid situations where others “might improperly influence them.”

We are asking the Ethics and Integrity Commission to look into whether these types of financial contributions are appropriate and sufficiently transparent.
