MPs can skip Parliament, ignore their constituents, and still keep their jobs until the next election. 

They cannot be removed for neglecting their duties because they have no official job description.

Nadine Dorries abandoned many of her duties for months, while remaining an MP, leaving her constituents with no way to remove her. 

MPs need a job description that outlines their key responsibilities such as responding to constituents.
